What United Cycle Is Looking For

  • Friendly, enthusiastic and team oriented personalities.

  • A person who has a passion for a particular sport(s) and/or selling retail.
  • An in-depth knowledge of how their sport(s) is played and of the equipment used to play the sport.
  • Ability to use that knowledge to deliver excellent customer service and assist our customers in making informed buying decisions. Sales and merchandising will be part of your daily activities.
  • For part-time positions – must be available at a minimum, of one night and a Saturday each week.

  • To work both in our Sporting Goods Store and our Bike Store.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure all transactions are handled in professional and efficient manner.
  • Past cashier experience would be an asset
  • Must have a mature attitude with strong work ethic and cheerful disposition.
  • Fitting and selling of hockey and inline skates
  • Selling and fitting of figure skates.
  • Selling figure skate clothing and accessories.
  • Must be or have been a figure skater.
  • Selling and fitting of hockey equipment, ringette, lacrosse, referee clothing and accessories.
  • Providing excellent customer service in our parts department to both our customers and to our Bike Service department.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of bicycles.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Previous experience as a bike mechanic or in bike parts /sales an asset.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years shop experience in a bike store environment.
  • Year round employment guaranteed.
  • Selling of sporting goods products, including team/school equipment, sport apparel and team uniforms.
  • This is a creative and very customer focused client relationship position where you must assist the customer from the idea / concept stage, through our various supply sources and processes to final delivery of the finished product to the customer.
  • 3-5 years Customer Service experience and /or an understanding of jersey cresting and embroidery applications would be an asset but will train if you are the right candidate for the job.
  • Position requires a person to be very organized; detail orientated with a high level of accuracy and has the ability to handle multiple orders at various stages of completion with usually tight deadlines.
  • Applicants should have exceptional communicative skills; both written and verbal.
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday with the occasional evening night shift each month on a rotating basis.
  • Performs the shipping / receiving and warehousing duties of the Team & School Sales department.
  • Duties also require use of Company vehicles to deliver to and pickup customer orders from local cresting suppliers as required.
  • Will also assist when required our receiving staff located in our Sporting Goods and Bike stores as required.
  • Position requires a person to be very organized; detail orientated with a high level of accuracy and has the ability to handle multiple orders at various stages of completion with usually tight deadlines.
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday.
  • Candidates must have:
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • A working knowledge of related computer applications.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Good verbal and communication skills.
    • Self-directed, reliable and punctual.
    • One year of relevant experience.
    • Ability to lift over 50lbs.
    • Driver’s license.
  • We currently have two full positions open in our Company. One opening is in our Sporting Goods Store and the other is in Our Bike Store.
