Moulded baseball cleats are generally constructed with rubber or a similar type of outsole and are approved for play by all major baseball and softball organizations. Metal baseball cleats have a permanent metal spike configuration and are usually prohibited in most youth and amateur softball organizations. Interchangeable baseball cleats allow the user to replace worn cleats or to switch from plastic to metal.
