Three skills every roller hockey player wants to have are speed, power, and agility. Well, with the improvements to all inline hockey skates and their chassis, these skills are yours for the taking.

ABEC 5 is the lowest rating bearing available on any of the current inline hockey skates. Mid-range and high-end models can offer one-piece aluminum frames. Wheels are an extremely important factor when choosing the right skate, second only to a properly fit boot.

The surface which roller hockey players skate on in Edmonton is very slick, rendering some wheels completely unsuitable. If a players wheels are too hard, it’ll feel similar to skating on dull blades. If they are too soft, it could cause premature wear and a reduction in overall speed.
