Beginning in 1994, the year that United Cycle relocated to it's current location, the idea was borne to create a linear museum dedicated to Edmonton's rich sporting history.

Naturally the logical and rightful place for 'Stanley' would be along this stretch of Gateway Blvd. Although minor changes have occurred in the overall design of how the cup should be displayed, for the most part the final creation is very close to the original drawings and sketches.
