MORE SPORTS > LACROSSE > Gloves

Although many players get away with playing lacrosse with their hockey gloves, there are many differences to a hockey glove and a lacrosse glove.

Lacrosse gloves have heavy padding on the tops of the fingers and around the wrist to protect against being hit by a stick and they are very snug for increased dexterity. You can play with a hockey glove, but hockey gloves do not have any thumb mobility.

It is okay to allow for a centimeter of growing room at the finger tips, as long as the padding covers all areas of the hand and wrist, but adult gloves need to fit snug.

United Cycle has many gloves to choose from, so come on in, try on a few, and feel for yourself the difference in style, comfort, and performance.

Determining your glove size:

  • Three sizes: 10”, 12”, and 13”.
  • Most manufacturers use different sizing levels for their gloves, usually S, M, L, or XL, but they range from youth sizes of about 9” up to full adult sizes of 16”.
  • Different manufacturers can use different sizing methods.
