Ringette helmets are hockey helmets, but the cage is, first of all mandatory to wear, and is also a little different than typical hockey helmets.

All players must have a proper mask: a CSA certified ringette facemask (type 5 or 6) that is properly fitted to a CSA certified helmet. A mouth guard is recommended.
