They started with brand new 100% Black Array carbon fiber which allows for more carbon and less resin to provide the ultimate in durability. From there they apply Mizuno's Techfire technology to the Black Onyx carbon fiber. Techfire technology is comprised of three different levels of materials bonded together that make up one single wall. This construction constitutes a single-wall bat that increases the sweet spot over 16% and increased performance. Even the end cap is redesigned using a coiled design for a 30% lighter end cap for a lower swing weight and better control of the bat.
